301 redirect – Choose a new website name – Traffic SEO?

301 redirect – Website name change is on the order? SEO question? SEO new website is currently if you look in google.co.uk for "personalized cards" come with our website on the first page. We change the entire site name, if someone typed in our previous company name, the result would still be as good with a 301 redirect? eg (fake websites used here) www.brilliantbirthdaycards.com has a new website with a 301 directly to www.bestgreeting.com – Google Analytics show that people already know our name and find us, enter the key words "Brilliant birthday cards" (the name of the company), but when we changed bestgreeting if the people in "brilliantly written birthday cards would" Keywords are we still at the top of the page that is no longer valid for example, the name of our company? – I want a title tag: ~ brilliant birthday card rebranded as bestgreeting.com ~ and description, meta description and keywords in which both sides?
