Custom Software Development Checklist
Custom database software development is to be answered by the use of a checklist of standard questions before facilitating a system be created, and before analysis begins. This checklist is designed to assist in the Analysis / Requirements phase of a new development of custom software project.

BUSINESS CONSIDERATIONS
1st Desired delivery date or the proposed timetable for the project.

3rd What is the cost constraints?
4th Use cases – description of how each group of users is the use of the system.
a. General business process – web users will buy a product, web user will Add a Client, Web users will add contact information, etc.
b. Input / Output – Web users enter data in forms, data is imported, the Administrator to run many management reports, administrator needs to export to Excel and text, etc.

NATURE OF APPLICATION

17th Are anti-virus protection and policies in place? It is an important Part of ensuring that a system remains up and running.

29th Cautions:

5th What is the estimated number of records that are stored in the short and long term?
6th Do we need to import data from existing files or systems? Note that characters like '# have special meaning in data processing and conversion, and require special code handling. Names (D'Joy) and may contain other data fields such characters.
