Psychology coursework – Wilcoxon test?

For my AQA a level psychology course work I have used statistics of the Wilcoxon test in inferential statistics, I do not know what really shows this, so I do not know what to write about it, I have two values: N = 18 and T = 3 I know N is the number of the participants who scored differently, and T is the lower value of positive and negative ranks, but I have no idea what this means and what should I write up about them in the discussion or the results page, and my abstract. Please help! Thanks

You need to get a table of critical values of T for a Wilcoxon test to be found. You will probably find not in a position to be one online, or, most stats books one. This rule has a table with N on one side of the table, and the significance level you want the very top (usually p <0.05). Then you look over your N-value (18) to see what you T-score results to you need considerably be. You need to be on T-score less than or equal to the value in the table for them is important. If the difference between the conditions (or what ever you compare) is not significant, it can not be said, you have found an effect. If you report, you usually say something like: "The data was by Wilcoxon signed-rank test The one significant difference was between ___ and ____, T (18) = 3, p <.05 "(from a quick look myself, I said the table, you need your T-score on less than or equal to 40 to claim significance (two tailed) what would your significant but I would check yourself.).
